We’re looking for a creative, tenacious, and driven Journalist to join our dynamic team. You’ll play a key role in sourcing shocking, unusual, funny, and outrageous real-life stories and viral videos that grab attention, spark conversation, and make people stop scrolling.

At Caters Media Group, we are a leading international multimedia company, sourcing, creating, and distributing amazing video and image content to the world’s largest media outlets.

Responsibilities

• Research and uncover unique real-life human-interest stories with strong appeal to younger audiences.
• Spot viral videos across multiple platforms before they trend, ensuring they meet customer briefs.
• Build and maintain networks to identify and pitch potential stories quickly.
• Reach out to contributors and content creators worldwide, negotiating rights and permissions with tact and professionalism.
• React quickly to breaking news scenarios by remotely sourcing relevant stories and clips.
• Work closely with editorial and global teams to package stories for maximum impact.
• Complete vital administrative tasks accurately and on time.
• Deliver against performance targets set by the line manager.

About You

• A natural storyteller with an eye for the unusual, quirky, and sensational.
• Understands the importance of visual impact and instinctively knows how content should be packaged for watchability and to stop the scroll on social media.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident in approaching and interviewing contributors.
• Strong decision-making, organisation, and time management skills.
• Hardworking, enthusiastic, adaptable, and highly motivated to learn and grow.
• Experience in journalism, content research, or media production.
• Knowledgeable about current trends, youth culture, and digital media landscapes.
• Educated to degree level, preferably in Media, Journalism, Communications
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills (Professional Level)
• As this role is remote, it requires someone who is highly motivated and able to work independently as a self-starter.
