This Position reports to: Supply Chain Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. This role is contributing to the Electrification Business Bengaluru, India. You will be mainly accountable for: Running / Implementing various Sourcing initiatives & projects focused on cost reduction (CR) targets. Applies and implements ABB SCM (Supply Chain Management) standards, tools, and processes in a multi-business organisation. Direct supplier selection for various commodities and manage vendor development. Engage closely with critical suppliers for discussion on performance, planning, pricing, and future development activities. Negotiate agreements with suppliers to manage inventory, quality, cost, and obtain best terms & conditions for ABB. Qualifications for the role Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering required, (Mechanical / Electrical Engineering) With 5+ years. Additional course in Supply Chain Management would be preferred. Experience in a company of repute in SCM. BCC sourcing experience would be an added advantage (Southeast Asia etc.). Commodity management in various engineering commodities/materials.
