Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution: Assist in the preparation of detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures. Support the execution of the project as per approved plans, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and contractual requirements. Site Management: Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design drawings, safety standards, and railway industry regulations. Oversee the work of contractors and subcontractors, conducting regular inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Ensure timely mobilization of resources (materials, labor, equipment) and effective coordination between different teams. Engineering Support: Review technical designs, drawings, and plans to ensure they meet railway construction standards and project requirements. Provide engineering inputs to resolve on-site technical issues and coordinate with design teams for design clarifications. Ensure compliance with railway engineering codes, safety guidelines, and other statutory requirements. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to monitor the quality of materials and workmanship. Coordinate and ensure all inspections, testing, and commissioning activities are performed as required. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed on-site, addressing hazards promptly and implementing corrective measures. Participate in risk assessments and ensure adherence to environmental regulations during construction. Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, risk registers, and quality records. Assist in preparing and processing bills of quantities, cost estimates, and material requisitions. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities for smooth project coordination. Participate in regular meetings with the project team to review progress and discuss upcoming tasks. Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project costs and ensure that all activities are carried out within the approved budget. Identify potential cost overruns and implement corrective measures to keep the project on track financially. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all local and national railway standards, environmental regulations, and other legal requirements relevant to the project. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or . A master’s degree in Railway Engineering is a plus. Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering design software. Strong knowledge of railway construction standards, methods, and materials.
