Role Overview

The Estimation & Design Engineer will be responsible for developing precise technical designs and cost estimates for electrical systems used in marine and industrial applications. This position requires strong analytical, design, and documentation skills along with hands-on experience in modern electrical design tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation:

  Prepare detailed and accurate estimates covering electrical materials, labor, and associated direct and indirect costs.

• Design and Development:

  Design electrical systems for various applications such as motors, generators, logic control panels, and distribution systems.

• Schematics and Layouts:

  Create detailed electrical schematics and layout drawings using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN software.

• Component Selection:

  Identify and select suitable electrical components and materials aligning with design and project specifications.

• Documentation:

  Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, design reports, and user manuals for client and internal use.

• Coordination:

  Collaborate closely with project teams, procurement, and production to ensure alignment between design and execution.

• Compliance:

  Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical codes and safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical design and estimation, preferably in marine or industrial automation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent electrical CAD tools.
• Strong analytical and cost estimation skills.
• Knowledge of electrical components, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
