Job | Head of Finance (Solar Cells Manufacturing) | Hyderabad

Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Ensure financial and tax operations align with the unique business risks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards of the solar manufacturing sector, balancing these with company objectives and production targets. 2) Oversee the entire accounting function including inter-company accounting, inventory valuation, cost accounting related to manufacturing processes, cash management, reconciliation, and financial reporting ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 3) Establish and maintain internal controls tailored to production and manufacturing activities, ensuring protection of assets and compliance with statutory and company policies. 4) Provide technical accounting guidance on manufacturing cost capitalizations, depreciation of plant & equipment, grants/subsidies related to renewable energy projects, and provide support during audits and due diligence related to expansion or acquisitions. 5) Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards (Indian GAAP and IFRS) and prepare reports that capture the financial health of the manufacturing facility, including cost containment and inventory management. 6) Supervise timely completion of tax filings, including income tax, GST, customs duties on imports related to raw materials, environmental levies, and other local taxes applicable to the renewable energy industry. 7) Collaborate with Corporate Tax, Treasury, and Risk teams on tax planning, compliance and managing relationships with tax authorities and external auditors. 8) Oversee the operation and enhancement of ERP/accounting systems (like SAP) to reflect manufacturing-specific accounting requirements such as materials management, job costing, and process costing. 9) Ensure the compliances with indirect and direct tax regulations and optimalisation of tax outflow. 10) Coordinate internal and external audits with a focus on compliance with manufacturing accounting requirements and implement recommendations effectively
