Role Overview

The Jewellery Merchandiser will be responsible for driving product assortment, category performance, and inventory optimization. This role plays a key part in shaping the product strategy and ensuring strong sell-through across retail and e-commerce channels.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising & Category Strategy

• Understand and execute merchandise strategy aligned with brand positioning and consumer insights.
• Execute assortment mix across collections, price points, and target segments.
• Add value through rigorous data analysis, competitor benchmarking and consumer understanding.
• Conduct competitor benchmarking and market research to identify category gaps.

Product Planning & Inventory Management

• Plan assortment and replenishment across stores.
• Monitor inventory health, ensuring optimal stock turns and minimizing slow-moving inventory.
• Use data-driven forecasting models for demand planning and product allocation.
• Assist in pricing and margin optimisation in collaboration.
• Collaborate with supply chain and quality teams for timely deliveries and product standards.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

• Track category KPIs (sales, margins, stock turns, sell-through, consumer feedback).
• Provide actionable insights to improve product lifecycle and category performance.
• Prepare reports for regular business reviews and dashboards for leadership teams.

Qualifications & Experience

· 2 to 4 years’ experience in merchandising / category management, preferably in jewellery retail.

Proven expertise in assortment planning, product lifecycle management, and vendor handling.

Strong analytical and commercial acumen with ability to interpret data into actionable insights.

Experience working with digital-first / omni-channel businesses preferred.

Graduate / MBA / PG in Data, Retail, Business, or related fields.
