Java/Spring Boot Developer

As India's oldest and largest inbound travel company, you are embarking on the development of an in-house product to automate your B2B business. To support this initiative, you have established a technology innovation center, TCI Digital Labs, and are seeking passionate developers to join your product engineering roadmap. **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for developing back-end applications using Java and the Spring ecosystem. Your role will involve leveraging your expertise in core Java, Java best practices, Java Concurrency model, Java collections, generics, and functional programming features. Additionally, you will be required to write unit-testable code, work with Spring ecosystem components like Spring Boot, and develop HTTP/REST APIs. Your familiarity with Spring Data (JPA), ORM tools like Hibernate, SQL, and database design will be crucial. Moreover, you should have an appreciation for different design styles such as event-based, microservices, and monolithic modularity. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop back-end applications using Java and the Spring ecosystem - Utilize core Java skills and best practices - Implement Java Concurrency model and functional programming features - Write unit-testable code and work with Spring Boot - Develop HTTP/REST APIs and use Spring Data (JPA) - Fine-tune mappings for performance using ORM tools like Hibernate - Work with SQL, database design, and various design styles including event-based and microservices **Qualifications Required:** - Development experience in building back-end applications using Java and Spring ecosystem - Strong command over core Java and Java best practices - Familiarity with Java Concurrency model, collections, generics, and Java 8 features - Proficiency in Spring ecosystem components such as Spring Boot and Spring Data (JPA) - Experience with ORM tools like Hibernate and SQL database design - Understanding of design styles like event-based, microservices, and monolithic modularity If you have experience with AWS, code quality tools like SonarQube, deployment using CI/CD pipelines, and understand the unit and integration testing facilities of Spring Boot, it would be considered a plus.
