Javascript Developer + Azure DevOps

Role Overview: You will be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable project/team hierarchies in Azure DevOps, defining and standardizing work item taxonomy, and enforcing consistency across multiple teams. Additionally, you will design, build, and maintain custom Azure DevOps extensions and integrate Azure DevOps with external systems. Your role will also involve customizing work item forms, developing user-friendly extensions using React Js, and hosting backend services on Azure App Services. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and implement scalable project/team hierarchies in Azure DevOps - Define and standardize work item taxonomy and enforce consistency across multiple teams - Setup role-based access controls (RBAC), governance, and permission models - Design, build, and maintain custom Azure DevOps extensions with read/write capabilities - Integrate Azure DevOps with external systems using REST APIs, webhooks, or SDKs - Customize work item forms and develop user-friendly extensions using React Js - Retrieve and manipulate data using programmatic workflows - Develop and maintain Dashboards, Queries, and Boards to monitor progress and team metrics - Host backend services on Azure App Services and develop frontend interfaces using various technologies - Configure and maintain Azure Boards for Agile delivery across distributed engineering teams - Build dynamic queries and dashboards to expose planning metrics and delivery insights - Integrate Boards with Git-based CI/CD pipelines for traceability from code to work item Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent - Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (preferred) Skills Required: Must Have: - Deep expertise in Azure DevOps architecture, Boards, and hierarchy design - Full stack development with JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, Python, and frontend frameworks (ReactJS or AngularJS) - Strong experience in extension development and work item form customization - Proficiency with Azure DevOps SDK, webhooks, REST APIs, and strong SQL skills - Experience sourcing data from Snowflake, Azure SQL, and SharePoint Lists - Excellent coding, debugging, problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills - Experience in requirement gathering, client-facing work, and translating business needs into technical solutions Good to Have: - Prior experience with other DevOps tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins) - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with APIs/integrations in enterprise domains - Experience in a regulated or enterprise environment and soft skills like mentoring and collaboration across teams,
