Location: Chennai, India Workplace Type: Hybrid (flexible options available) About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Java Developer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will work closely with other developers, testers, and product managers to deliver innovative and scalable applications. This role requires a strong understanding of Java principles, software development methodologies, and experience with various frameworks and tools. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a problem-solving mindset, and excellent communication skills. You will contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner Optimize application performance and scalability Contribute to the development of technical documentation Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and trends Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field 5+ years of experience in Java development Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles Proficiency in Java, SQL, and Python Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) Experience with Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring MVC) Experience with RESTful API development Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) Experience with unit testing and integration testing Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus Experience with microservices architecture is a plus Additional Information This is a full-time position based in Chennai, India.
