Job Summary / About the Role

ARSoft Consulting is seeking a talented and motivated Java Developer with 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications. The successful candidate will work within a distributed team to build scalable and robust backend solutions, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software aligned with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications with clean, scalable code
• Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other developers to ensure timely delivery of features
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to best practices
• Write and maintain technical documentation for new and existing systems
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to architecture, design patterns, and development processes
• Ensure adherence to software development methodologies and secure coding standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2–4 years of professional experience in Java development
• Proficiency in Java SE/EE, Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Boot), and RESTful web services
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Exposure to microservices architecture and containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
