Job Description

The Java API & Micro Services Developer position requires accomplishing results through the department to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with regional business and technology Bank teams. The overall objective is to identify and act on opportunities to improve and update application software, data, and systems, as well as to improve and update micro services and APIs that power Citi digital channels like Mobile, Internet banking, and open banking partners using the latest cloud-native technologies and frameworks. It is essential to ensure compliance with Citis system development lifecycle and information security requirements, implementing and maintaining security controls to meet the necessary standards. Responsibilities include application development initiatives/projects across Digital of Citi Global Wealth, experience in Agile methodology, managing multiple scrum teams, developing and implementing best-in-class processes, metrics, and practices. The role involves driving technical design/architecture management, product roadmaps, interacting closely with Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, Cross Product Architecture, and other Product Processors. It is crucial to align systems with the organization's strategy and goals, adhere to Citigroup's compliance standards, and ensure compliance for supported applications. Strong technical skills in object-oriented analysis and design, software development, and cloud-native microservice patterns with Spring Boot are preferred. Additionally, responsibilities include application information security and code quality governance, identifying, assessing, tracking, and mitigating issues and risks, driving safety and soundness items to closure, managing partnerships with TISO, BISO, Risk and Compliance teams, and analyzing, fixing, building/configuring, and implementing applications to address infosec/code quality/VA issues. Qualifications necessary for this role include a strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design, excellent software development skills, hands-on development of cloud-native microservice patterns with Spring Boot, technology stack understanding, solution skills, backlog management, and experience in software development lifecycle practices. The position requires designing and developing applications based on Java 8, Microservice Architecture, Spring Boot/Spring integration, REST APIs on cloud platforms, and remediation of code quality issues/application vulnerabilities. Education requirements include a Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience, while a Master's degree is preferred. The role may involve other job-related duties as assigned.
