Job Description

Handling Incidents, Alerts, and Service Requests
Delivery and maintenance of complex SAP Landscapes by providing technical expertise and support.
Planning, setup, implementation, and operation of SAP technologies, achieving ambitious SLAs
Conceptual design, configuration, and administration of server landscapes with a focus on Linux Operating systems
Troubleshooting and resolving any Database relevant issues that impact the customer s business
Managing daily operations ensuring high availability
The role is part of a 24x7 operational team following a global follow-the-sun model, with rotational shifts and week-offs.
Proper documentation, definition of technical operational concepts and guidelines for the implemented SAP landscapes and roll out of this information/knowledge to the rest of theteam
Coordination with international teams in global projects/crisis handling/de-escalation initiatives
While cross-trained in all topic areas (Basis/application, OS and Database), you ll specialize in one of these areas and own incidents and service requests closure end-to-end

What you bring :

BE / BTech / MCA from a reputable institute
3 to 9 years of work experience as Database Administrator in Global Operations team primarily on SAP HANA and ASE Database Platforms.
2 to 5 years of work experience as a Database Administrator in a Global Operations team primarily on any of the most commercial RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2 etc.)
Exposure to automation tools/scripting or processes.
DB installations and upgrades, Planning, setup and implementation.
DB Concept on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, System Copies, high availability and disaster recovery strategy, export-import and replication is a must.
Organize / Structure day2day documentation.
The role is part of a 24x7 operational team following a global follow-the-sun model, with rotational shifts and week-offs.
Basic knowledge of any Public Cloud Domains like Microsoft Azure, AWS and GCP
Experience working in an international environment, being able to work effectively with international and virtual teams.
Capable in technical documentation and creation of knowledge-based assets (KBAs).
Ability to continuously acquire new knowledge proactively and independently.
A nalytical and solution-oriented thinking.
E xposure to the ITIL framework
