- The IT Systems Administrator (Level 3 Support Engineer) is responsible for advanced system support, deployment, and administration of enterprise IT environments, primarily focused on Microsoft Windows systems
- This role requires expert-level proficiency with ConnectWise Manage and ConnectWise Automate, Azure AD, MicrosoftOffice 365, and backup systems such as Druva and Acronis
- The candidate must also have practical experience withNutanix as the primary virtualization platform
- This individual acts as a senior escalation point for complex IT incidents and collaborates with IT Leadership to develop and implement scalable infrastructure solutions
- They also ensure operational integrity, maintain cybersecurity compliance, and support the implementation of automation and remote monitoring strategies toenhance system performance and end-user experience
- The role includes proactive system maintenance, patching in accordance with NIST compliance standards, documentation, and mentoring of junior IT staff
- The IT Systems Administrator must demonstrate strong technicalleadership, analytical thinking, and a high level of independence in problem resolution and project execution
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expert-level administration, configuration, and deployment of ConnectWise Manage and ConnectWise Automate
- Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex systems and application issues
- Maintain and support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, andDHCP
- Administer and support Azure AD and Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune
- Manage virtualization workloads through Nutanix, including VM deployment and infrastructuremonitoring
- Oversee Druva and Acronis backup solutions, including routine testing and recovery operations
- Implement patch management policies in accordance with NIST standards via ConnectWise Automate
- Monitor system performance and address risks using centralized monitoring tools
- Document SOPs, network diagrams, asset inventories, and knowledge base articles
- Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians and support professional development
- Support desktop/laptop imaging, software deployment, and mobile device management
- Participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours incidents and maintenance
- Setup and Configuration of new user accounts and security
- 3-5 Years of IT Systems Administration experience
- Deep expertise in ConnectWise Automate scripting and automation.
- IT skills as it relates to computer systems, databases, networks, hardware, software, security and backups
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency to resolution
- Excellent time management skills and prioritization of projects and tasks
- Ability to balance workload between projects, maintenance, support and on-going daily issues

- Familiarity with security protocols, firewalls, intrusion prevention and intrusion detection systems. Systems similar to Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto and/or CheckPoint.

- Storage: Knowledge of SAN, NAS, and storage protocols.
- Database Administration: Basic understanding of database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) and Solid State Drives (SSDs).
- Experience with Direct-Attached Storage (DAS), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and Storage Area Network (SAN) devices.
- Understanding of storage controllers, RAID configurations, and storage tiers.5. Monitoring & Automation:
- Scripting and Automation: Scripting in languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with tools like Lansweeper, Connectwise, or SolarWinds.6. Business/Laboratory Systems

- Business/Collaboration System: Supported/Deployed systems similar to Smartsheets, Salesforce and SharePoint.
- ERP Systems: Experience managing NetSuite, JD Edward, Microsoft Dynamics and/or Oracle
- 5+ years of progressive IT systems administration experience in a Microsoft Windows environment.3+ years of expert-level experience with ConnectWise Manage and ConnectWise Automate.
- Experience managing Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with Druva and Acronis backup systems.
- 2+ years of experience with Nutanix virtualization platforms.
- Bachelors degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications preferred (Microsoft, ConnectWise, Nutanix, CompTIA, ITIL).
- Proven ability to manage complex technical projects and drive process improvements
