About The Role

The System Administrator at Onit India will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining our essential IT infrastructure. This position involves overseeing onboarding and offboarding procedures, supporting both Windows and Mac systems, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT environment. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in Microsoft Intune, JAMF, and Entra, along with strong troubleshooting skills related to various applications and Microsoft 365 services. As part of our 18/5 global support team, the System Administrator will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support to our internal teams and ensuring seamless operation of our IT systems across multiple locations.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have a bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience in system administration is required, with demonstrated expertise in managing Windows, macOS, and Meraki environments. Candidates must have extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Entra, Google Workspace, SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 administration. Proven troubleshooting capabilities, especially within the Microsoft 365 suite, are essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively across teams and departments. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator or JAMF Certified Associate will be considered a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding and Offboarding:
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure secure and efficient onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Provision and configure software for Mac and Windows systems for new employees, ensuring they are set up with necessary tools and security measures.
  • Utilize predefined checklists to guarantee accurate completion of onboarding and offboarding tasks and address IT support requests promptly.
  • Device Management:
  • Drive efficient management of laptops and other endpoints using Jamf and Intune, from initial configuration to ongoing maintenance.
  • Develop and implement security protocols for device enrollment, software updates, and threat mitigation.
  • Proactively monitor and manage endpoint security threats utilizing CrowdStrike's detection and response capabilities.
  • Intune and JAMF Administration:
  • Manage Windows devices comprehensively using Microsoft Intune, including policy implementation, development, and compliance management.
  • Proactively manage macOS devices with JAMF, leveraging advanced policies and automation techniques to ensure security and efficiency.
  • Develop and enforce policies, profiles, and compliance settings across devices using Jamf, Intune, Entra, and CrowdStrike to align with organizational standards.
  • Application Support:
  • Resolve complex application issues through advanced troubleshooting, minimizing disruption to business operations and end users.
  • Manage user access and permissions across various applications, ensuring security, compliance, and efficient support ticket resolution.
  • Provide remote support to users across the US and globally, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot small office networks, including internet connectivity and access control, to ensure seamless infrastructure operation.
  • Keep accurate IT asset inventories, maintain comprehensive documentation, and develop standardized procedures to facilitate troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
  • IT Projects:
  • Support ongoing IT projects, participate in the deployment of new technologies, and continuously learn to adapt to evolving IT landscapes.
