Job Description

Role Overview: As an L1 IT Specialist at our company, you will play a crucial role in providing first-line support for IT-related issues. Your primary responsibilities will involve resolving hardware, software, and basic network problems for internal users, ensuring smooth functioning of IT systems. Key Responsibilities: - Provide first-level support for laptop and desktop configurations, setup, and troubleshooting. - Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and standard software applications. - Handle basic network-related issues such as LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity and IP configuration. - Assist with firewall-related tasks like whitelisting requests and verifying blocked connections at a basic level. - Perform routine hardware maintenance including RAM, HDD/SSD, battery, and peripherals. - Log and document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system. - Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 support when necessary, ensuring timely follow-ups. - Support IT asset management by tagging, tracking, and updating inventory. - Maintain and enforce endpoint security compliance by managing antivirus, encryption, and patch updates. - Support video conferencing setups and remote access tools like VPN and RDP. Qualification Required: - Strong understanding of Windows OS (Windows 10/11) and basic troubleshooting. - Minimum 2 years of IT experience. - Knowledge of laptop/desktop configuration, including BIOS settings, OS imaging, and drivers. - Basic understanding of network components such as IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, and switches. - Familiarity with firewalls and endpoint protection, including handling common issues. - Experience in hardware diagnostics and replacement (RAM, SSD, keyboards, etc.). - Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and collaboration tools like Outlook and Teams. - Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow. - Good communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
