About the job

Job Summary:

IT Support Specialist

  • Remotely supporting and maintaining

    our critical systems.
  • Rapidly troubleshooting

    technical issues and implementing solutions.
  • Providing essential day-to-day support

    to all staff members.

Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive daily remote IT support

    to clinic staff, providers, and management teams.
  • Rapidly diagnose and resolve technical issues

    across software, hardware, the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, email, networking, VPN, and various devices.
  • Manage system lifecycle tasks,

    including supporting updates, installations, and remote configuration changes.
  • Maintain strict security and access controls

    by managing user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point

    for urgent issues, including participating in an

    on-call rotation.

  • Ensure timely resolution

    of technical issues by accurately tracking, documenting, and closing support tickets.
  • Facilitate technical solutions

    by coordinating work with external vendors and IT partners.
  • Uphold rigorous security standards,

    ensuring the HIPAA-compliant handling of all systems, devices, and protected health information (PHI).
  • Contribute to long-term operational success

    by recommending system improvements and actively participating in technology upgrade projects.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in IT support or helpdesk support (healthcare setting preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows/Mac devices.
  • Familiar with EMR systems, remote access tools, VPN, and Microsoft 365/Gmail environments.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication.
  • Ability to work during

    Eastern Time Zone

    work hours.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
  • Must be able to take calls or respond to urgent issues as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting healthcare staff, providers, or clinics.

Understanding of medical software systems and secure data workflows.

Experience working in fast-paced, multi-site environments.
