About the job Job Summary: We're looking for a reliable and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our dedicated team. In this fully remote role, you'll be the backbone of technical operations across our healthcare organization, ensuring seamless continuity for our clinical and administrative staff. Key responsibilities include: Remotely supporting and maintaining our critical systems. Rapidly troubleshooting technical issues and implementing solutions. Providing essential day-to-day support to all staff members. The ideal candidate must be highly responsive, possess excellent written and verbal English communication skills, and be available to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours . Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive daily remote IT support to clinic staff, providers, and management teams. Rapidly diagnose and resolve technical issues across software, hardware, the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, email, networking, VPN, and various devices. Manage system lifecycle tasks, including supporting updates, installations, and remote configuration changes. Maintain strict security and access controls by managing user accounts, permissions, and security protocols. Serve as the primary escalation point for urgent issues, including participating in an on-call rotation. Ensure timely resolution of technical issues by accurately tracking, documenting, and closing support tickets. Facilitate technical solutions by coordinating work with external vendors and IT partners. Uphold rigorous security standards, ensuring the HIPAA-compliant handling of all systems, devices, and protected health information (PHI). Contribute to long-term operational success by recommending system improvements and actively participating in technology upgrade projects. Qualifications and Skills : Proven experience in IT support or helpdesk support (healthcare setting preferred). Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows/Mac devices. Familiar with EMR systems, remote access tools, VPN, and Microsoft 365/Gmail environments. Excellent spoken and written English communication. Ability to work during Eastern Time Zone work hours. Strong problem-solving mindset with a sense of urgency. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently. Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards. Must be able to take calls or respond to urgent issues as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting healthcare staff, providers, or clinics. Understanding of medical software systems and secure data workflows. Experience working in fast-paced, multi-site environments.
