Role & responsibilities:

IT Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Infrastructure & Systems Management

• Manage end-to-end IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, data centers, and cloud services.
• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of

  engineering software

  (AutoCAD, Primavera, Revit, STAAD, BIM tools, etc.).
• Ensure reliable connectivity, VPN access, and communication systems for

  multiple project sites and remote teams

• Maintain strong asset management for hardware (laptops, desktops, printers, routers, switches, servers).

2. Hardware & Software Administration

• Lead procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management of IT hardware and licensed software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, networking hardware, and EPC-specific tools.
• Ensure compliance with license agreements and manage renewals for all engineering and business software.

3. IT Security, Risk & Compliance

• Develop and implement IT security policies, firewalls, backups, and disaster recovery plans tailored for EPC project operations.
• Conduct regular audits for data security, network performance, and compliance with industry and client standards.
• Safeguard critical project documentation, drawings, procurement data, and vendor information.

4. Project IT Support & Coordination

• Provide IT support for

  site offices

  , fabrication yards, warehouses, and engineering teams.
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, and engineering leads to ensure seamless technological support.
• Manage IT infrastructure mobilization/demobilization during project initiation and closure phases.

5. Vendor & Contract Management

• Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, ISP partners, and software suppliers.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts for hardware procurement, AMC services, and cloud/IT support tools.
• Oversee ERP and project management software implementations (SAP, Oracle ERP, MS Project, etc.).

6. Team Leadership & Operations

• Lead and mentor IT support engineers and system administrators across multiple locations.
• Develop SOPs for IT processes, service requests, and incident management.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs for support, downtime minimization, and service continuity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of

  hardware components

  : servers, desktops, laptops, printers, networking equipment.
• Expertise in

  software systems

  : Windows/Linux OS, engineering applications, ERP systems, productivity tools.
• Proficiency in networking: LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and backup systems.
• Familiarity with IT security tools, access control systems, cybersecurity protocols.

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant IT experience; minimum 5 years in

  EPC or construction industry preferred

  .
• Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, ITIL, PMP, or cloud certifications are an advantage.
