Our client has successfully established an automated warehouse as part of the Integrated Consumer Goods Manufacturing and Logistics Facility located in Trichy and Kapurthala. This automation initiative encompasses several key components: a) Hardware, which includes racks, cranes, conveyors, and guided vehicles; b) ASRS Controllers that oversee the operation of the hardware; and c) a Warehouse Management System (WMS) that serves as the interface between the ERP system and both the hardware and Warehouse Control System (WCS). To ensure the effective implementation of the WMS and WCS at the Kapurthala AMLF, it is essential to have a sufficient number of resources .This team will play a crucial role in providing IT infrastructure management, implementation, and support services throughout the various phases of the project. The detailed Scope of Work is outlined below. Execution of IT solutions in accordance with the sanctioned architecture Management of ICML IT infrastructure and security Oversight of high and medium-tier servers, routers, switches, firewalls, as well as storage and backup systems Administration of network and systems Management of wireless access points Oversight of user access and asset lifecycle Administration of Active Directory and patch management Management of vendors and original equipment manufacturers Ensuring compliance with information management policies and providing reports Facilitation of IT audits Following is the summary of roles and role of the persons who will be engaged as part of project delivery. Role (IT Operation lead- IS1 / IS2 Grade) Key Areas IT Infrastructure Oversight Resource Allocation User Administration Compliance with IM Policies / Reporting Execution of IT solutions in accordance with the sanctioned architecture ICML IT Infrastructure / Security Oversight Management of High and Medium-End Servers, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Storage, and Backup Systems Network and System Oversight Management of Wireless Access Points User Access Oversight / Asset Lifecycle Management Active Directory Management / Patch Oversight Vendor and OEM Coordination Facilitation of IT Audits Comprehensive application support and resolution of all escalated issues Overseeing the management of specific servers and networks to ensure uninterrupted operation. Establishing new link connections and the requisite IT infrastructure at newly initiated project sites. Ensuring data backup, access control, IT security, software licensing, and compliance with IM Policy and Central Guidelines to achieve 100% adherence. Planning job responsibilities and delivering IT support services to users at project locations. Managing IT budgeting (capital expenditures and revenue for hardware, software, administration, consumables, etc.), procurement processes, maintaining an efficient inventory, and engaging in discussions with the business regarding procurement needs. Supervising daily operations to address escalations. Tracking the progress of new implementations and reporting findings to the business and head office. Monitoring incidents related to IT security. Acting as the business liaison for IT requirements and discussions. Overseeing e-waste management. Managing the asset inventory. Utilizing soft skills to effectively engage with user managers across various organizational levels. Conducting inspections of the quality processes employed by IT implementation partners. Facilitating IT audits. Reviewing compliance with the IT Act (including electronic signatures, records, e-waste, etc.) and identifying any gaps. Providing compliance reports to the head office in accordance with established procedures. Overall management of the team. Overseeing asset lifecycle management for both software and hardware. Continuously offering feedback to enhance process efficiency. Strategically planning for new requirements and the establishment of new locations. The IT Support Executive is responsible for overseeing Key Areas IT Infrastructure Management User and team Management IT Compliance Servers, Storages health checkup log book maintain Monitoring of backups Addressing of all the issues / IT related request logged with Helpdesk. Closure of all Servers and Client patch management, Antivirus update issues Asset management Deployment and replacement of Hardware devices Firmware upgrade of all HW devices Remote connectivity, VPN and VDI support Monitoring of links and address the issues. Software installation in end-user machine while handing over the asset to the user Re-installing relevant software during the time of troubleshooting Coordinate with vendor for part replacement Manage changes in IT infrastructure within the desired timeline (e.g., link upgrade, OS upgrade etc.) Managing process related to ITPF Coordinate access for 3rd party users Managing the specific servers & network Coordinate and constantly follow-up with central helpdesks for call resolution IT Security Incidences involving anti-virus, data backup, IT hardware stock etc. Printer support (Including cartridge management) Job planning & providing L1 IT support services to visiting users Soft-skills to manage the users Co-ordinate e-waste management as per the direction from District Office Adhoc travel to locations (demand based) for providing L1 support (in case of exigency)
