Job Summary:
IT Infrastructure Lead will oversee and manage the design, implementation, and optimization of our IT infrastructure. This role involves driving automation initiatives, ensuring system reliability, and leading a team to support and maintain scalable IT infrastructure solutions. The IT Infrastructure Lead will lead a team responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting infrastructure components, implementing best practices. Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure, driving cross-functional collaboration, and applying industry-leading methodologies are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
- The IT Infrastructure Lead must be proficient in various network technologies for both Datacenter and edge (store and warehouses) locations, including LAN/WAN, Firewalls, Switches, SD-WAN, MPLS, and IPSec VPNs, and be able to select the most suitable solutions to meet the organizations needs.
- Proficiency in dynamic routing protocols like OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) and BGP (Border Gateway Protocol). Additionally, familiarity with Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, technologies such as Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), VTP (VLAN Trunking Protocol),
- Ability to design wireless networks (Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) to ensure optimal coverage and performance, including the deployment of WLAN controllers, access points, and the use of heat maps to troubleshoot and optimize wireless.
- Proficiency in hybrid cloud networking, managing secure connections between on-premise infrastructure and cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud),
- Manage physical and virtual server environments (Windows/Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix farm), SAN fabric and Dell/HPE storage devices (snapshots ,data replication, RAID groups etc)
- Ensure high availability, backup solutions (Commvault , Dell data domain) , disaster recovery (RPO/RTO), and business continuity strategies are effective and tested.
- Plan and manage infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
- The IT Infrastructure Lead will be responsible for overseeing the remediation of vulnerabilities identified through Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) coordinating with relevant teams in a timely and effective manner.
- Should have knowledge in deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications within Kubernetes environments, including cluster management and integration with CI/CD pipelines to streamline application delivery while ensuring high availability and optimal performance of containerized workloads.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in IT administration, with a focus on Network, systems, storage, backup, and datacenter management.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Networking (Firewalls , Switches , WAN/LAN , MPLS , SD-WAN, IPSec)
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS) and backup solutions.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Understanding of datacenter infrastructure, including power, cooling, and security.
