IT Infrastructure Engineer

You will be responsible for managing core IT infrastructure, which includes servers, storage, virtualization, and telephony systems. Your main tasks will involve performing continuous monitoring and proactive/preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operation. Additionally, you will need to quickly identify and resolve hardware/software issues and performance bottlenecks. As part of your role, you will be required to implement infrastructure projects, upgrades, and new tool rollouts. You will also need to conduct regular system reviews to ensure compliance with GMP/GxP systems, contributing to audit readiness and regulatory alignment. Maintaining technical documentation, SOPs, and project records will be crucial in this position. You will also provide technical assistance to internal teams and end-users. Your responsibilities will include configuring high availability (HA) configurations for critical infrastructure to minimize downtime and fault tolerance. To excel in this role, you must have strong experience in managing virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V. Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux environments, knowledge of Active Directory, user/access management, and familiarity with Citrix environments and monitoring tools like Nagios and Zabbix are essential. Experience with data protection/backup solutions, basic knowledge of database administration, and understanding of GxP/GMP environments and IT compliance will be valuable assets. Soft skills like strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, time management, prioritization skills, and good written and verbal communication skills are crucial. Having a passion for continuous learning, automation, and knowledge of cloud infrastructure like AWS and Azure will be beneficial. Certifications in N+, CCNA, CCNP, MCP, MCITP, RHCE, AWS, and Azure are preferred for this role.
