Job Description – Desktop, Hardware & Software Engineer
Position :- IT Executive / IT Support Engineer / Deskop Engineer

Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Desktop, Hardware & Software Engineer to manage installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of IT hardware and software systems. This role requires expertise in handling desktops, laptops, and peripherals, along with software installation, application support, and basic networking knowledge to ensure smooth IT operations across the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Perform system upgrades, hardware replacements, and preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, and peripheral-related issues.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors for warranty claims and procurement of IT hardware.
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and connectivity issues.
  • Assist with user account management in Active Directory.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, data security, and backup procedures.
  • Install, configure, and update operating systems, productivity tools, and business applications.
  • Troubleshoot software-related issues including OS crashes, application errors, and compatibility problems.
  • Support Office 365, email clients, antivirus, and backup solutions.
  • Assist in deployment of enterprise applications and system imaging.
  • Provide guidance and training to users on software tools and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Windows OS installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with software installation, updates, and patching.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, domains, and group policies.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP).
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Good communication and end-user support skills.

Educational Qualification:

  • Diploma/Graduate in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
  • Industry certifications like CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in Desktop/Hardware/Software support roles.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
