Job Description

Position: IT Executive
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: IT Manager / General Manager

Role Overview

The IT Executive is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s technology infrastructure, ensuring smooth functioning of all IT systems, networks, and software applications. This role supports operational departments by providing timely technical assistance and ensuring high system availability to enhance guest experience and staff productivity.

Key Responsibilities1. Systems & Network Management

  • Maintain and troubleshoot hotel network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Ensure uninterrupted functioning of PMS (Property Management System), POS (Point of Sale), PABX, IPTV, and other hotel systems.
  • Monitor server performance, backups, storage systems, and antivirus updates.
  • Oversee user accounts, access control, and data security measures.

2. Technical Support

  • Provide prompt IT support to all hotel departments including Front Office, F&B, Sales, Housekeeping, and Finance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues, printers, email configurations, and system errors.
  • Coordinate with vendors for escalated issues, AMC services, and equipment repairs.

3. Data Security & Compliance

  • Ensure data protection, cybersecurity standards, and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Conduct regular backups, system audits, and security checks.
  • Maintain logs of IT incidents, updates, and equipment inventory.

4. System Implementation & Upgrades

  • Support implementation of new hotel systems, software, and upgrades.
  • Assist in installation and maintenance of CCTV, biometric systems, and access control systems.
  • Test system functionality after upgrades and ensure minimal downtime.

5. Operational Support

  • Ensure smooth functioning of guest Wi-Fi and resolve guest IT queries quickly.
  • Maintain licensing records, IT documentation, and SOPs.
  • Monitor performance of digital marketing tools, hotel website connectivity, and email servers (if applicable).

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in hospitality IT or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel PMS/POS systems (e.g., IDS, Opera, Fortune, eZee).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle IT emergencies.
  • Understanding of data security, networking protocols, and hardware setups.

Pay: ₹10,373.66 - ₹33,901.78 per month
