Job Summary

The IT Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security systems. The role ensures smooth IT operations and provides technical support to users.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, printers, and network devices
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues
• Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, and Wi-Fi systems
• Manage system backups, antivirus, and data security measures
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades
• Maintain IT documentation, asset records, and licenses
• Support email systems, ERP/software applications, and user accounts
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT-related services
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and data security standards

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Hardware and software troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1–3 years of relevant IT support or engineering experience
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA) are an advantage
