Job Description

Backup Management:

Manage and monitor daily backup operations to ensure data integrity and availability.
Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures, ensuring all required file systems and data are successfully backed up.
Test backup strategies and oversee disaster recovery exercises.
Maintain and update disaster recovery plans and procedures.
Resolve any backup and recovery issues in a timely manner.
Create and provide reports for backup and storage environments, related activities, and tasks.
Maintain and update documentation for backup environments.

System Monitoring and Maintenance:

Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure all systems are fully recoverable.
Perform problem management and incident correlation on recurring issues.
Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards.
Conduct regular audits of backup systems and processes.

Collaboration and Support:

Coordinate with IT teams to ensure compatibility between systems and backups.
Provide support for security incidents and service requests related to backup management.
Act as an escalation point for all backup issues.
