Job Role: IT Automation Technician

1. Installation & Configuration

• Install, configure, and test automation systems such as:
• Smart lighting systems
• Boom barriers & gate automation
• Access control systems
• Motion sensors & occupancy sensors
• IoT-based automation devices
• Ensure proper wiring, connectivity, and integration with IT/network systems.

2. Operation & Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of automation systems.
• Identify faults in hardware, software, or connectivity and resolve them promptly.
• Replace faulty equipment, update firmware, and ensure systems are functioning smoothly.

3. Networking & Integration

• Connect automation devices with IT infrastructure (LAN, Wi-Fi, cloud platforms).
• Integrate automation systems with surveillance (CCTV), fire alarms, or building management systems.
• Work with IP-based devices and ensure proper communication between controllers and servers.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure installations comply with electrical and safety standards.
• Follow SOPs for handling high-voltage wiring, control panels, and motorized equipment.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain installation reports, maintenance logs, and system diagrams.
• Provide feedback on recurring issues and suggest system improvements.

Key Skills Required:

• Knowledge of automation controllers, sensors, relays, PLC basics.
• Networking basics (IP, Wi-Fi, switches, routers).
• Electrical wiring & safety knowledge.
• Troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software.
• Understanding of IoT & smart automation platforms.
