IT Automation Technician

As an IT Automation Technician at Area27, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to hardware systems installation and maintenance, network implementation and support, security systems setup and monitoring, as well as electrical and low voltage work. Your key responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, peripherals, and networking equipment. You will diagnose and troubleshoot hardware failures, replace faulty components, and set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices. Additionally, you will install and configure LAN/WAN networks, maintain network infrastructure, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure optimal network performance. In the realm of security systems, you will be tasked with installing and configuring CCTV surveillance systems, setting up IP cameras, DVR/NVR devices, and monitoring software, as well as performing regular maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of security equipment. You will also be involved in electrical work, including the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems and basic electrical work related to IT equipment and security systems. To excel in this role, you are required to have a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree/ITI in Computer Science/Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or ITI in Computer Hardware & Networking. You should possess technical skills such as proficiency in computer hardware architecture and troubleshooting, experience with networking concepts, knowledge of CCTV system installation, understanding of structured cabling standards, familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems, and basic knowledge of electrical principles as applied to IT equipment. This is a full-time, permanent position with a day shift. A willingness to travel up to 25% of the time is preferred. The work location is in-person at Guwahati, Assam.
