IT Administrator

You are a highly skilled and motivated IT Administrator responsible for managing and supporting the company's IT infrastructure. Your role involves ensuring the efficient operation of the network, systems, and applications, providing technical support to staff, and maintaining security protocols. As the IT Administrator, you will report directly to the Director of Administration. Your key responsibilities include system administration tasks such as installing and configuring servers, workstations, and IT equipment. You will also be responsible for hardware installation, including setting up network hardware like routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Additionally, you will install, configure, and update operating systems, application software, and system management tools. In terms of software installation, you will deploy network operating systems, firmware, and management tools. You will also manage software licenses, ensure compliance with licensing agreements, and deploy network monitoring and security software to maintain system health and protection. Your role will also involve network design and implementation, where you will design, configure, and deploy network hardware and software to meet organizational needs. You will be responsible for implementing network solutions, planning and executing network upgrades and expansions, and monitoring network performance, traffic, and availability using network management tools. Network security is a crucial aspect of your role, and you will implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats. This includes configuring and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and conducting regular security assessments and vulnerability scans. As part of your responsibilities, you will maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures. You will also generate reports on network performance, incidents, and usage statistics, presenting network status updates to IT management and stakeholders. In terms of backup and disaster recovery, you will implement and manage network backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability. You will also develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures for the network infrastructure. Your role will involve project management, where you will assist in planning and implementing IT projects and initiatives, collaborating with other departments to meet technology needs and requirements. Additionally, you will provide user support and management by offering technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, setting up and configuring workstations, printers, and other devices, and managing user accounts, permissions, and access control. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT administration or a similar role. Skills and Knowledge: - Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux Servers, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. - Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, TCP/IP, and Cisco Routers/Switches. - Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus. - Experience with Microsoft Intunes management (Creating Policies & Scripts and Troubleshooting skills). - Experience in Cloud Technologies will be an added advantage. Certifications: - Red Hat (RHCE) or Cisco (CCNP) certifications.,
