IPR Executive

Role Overview: As a Patent Agent at our company, you will be the nodal agency for handling all matters related to Intellectual Properties created by institutions or employees. Your responsibilities will include processing proposals for obtaining approvals and grants for trademarks, patents, and other Intellectual Properties. You will also be involved in commercializing patents by transferring them to the company, identifying potential users, marketing the patents, and negotiating agreements with partners. Key Responsibilities: - Handle all matters of Intellectual Properties of Institutions and/or created by employees - Process proposals for obtaining approvals/grants for Intellectual Properties like Trademarks, patents, etc. - Transfer existing patents to the company as Patent holder and continue to work with the inventors - Gather details of the inventions from the inventors and patent filings - Assess the nature of the invention, potential users in the industry, and the need for further development - Identify potential partners/sponsors/buyers for the invention and approach them - Market the patents to target users with the help of inventors and the institution - Negotiate and enter into agreements with willing partners/users - Seek support/sponsorship for further research and development if required - Develop specific agreements for collaboration with potential partners - Take necessary steps/actions for commercial use and any other actions deemed necessary - Evolve processes to meet the department's objectives Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Technology from a recognized University - Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property rights from a recognized University - LLB degree will be an added advantage - Candidate should be a registered Patent Agent with the Indian Patent Office - Minimum 3 years of experience in handling patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other forms of IP - Experience in IP management, searching, analyzing, drafting, filing, prosecution, negotiating, and portfolio management (Note: No additional details about the company were mentioned in the job description.),
