OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB Responsible for warehouse management which includes space hire, inventory control, material handling, ensuring statutory/legal compliances and transportation planning & execution. Ensure for all WSPs in the region, the daily cycle count and monthly stock count are conducted timely to ensure stock accuracy at line item/batch level are maintained. Pest control, Safety measures such as fire extinguisher refilling and other maintenance activities are carried out timely and documented for verification during third party audits. f. Maintenance of MHEs and requirement planning of MHEs to be done from time to time so that there is no downtime which may affect productivity of the warehouse. g. Ensure FMFO compliance in WSPs are followed and any deviation in the same to be addressed immediately. h. Responsible for training WSPs on SOPs related to operations. 3. Transportation planning and Execution: a. Identify, evaluate and negotiate freight rates with transporters for movement of stocks from warehouse to customers. Assist Logistics team for closure of negotiation and finalization of transport contracts on time. In case of revision of existing freight rates, reason for change in freight rates to be substantiated with explanation or with competitive quotes. b. Develop route plan from warehouse to customers for maximizing clubbed load deliveries for part load and truck load movements.
