Inventory Planning & Category Manager

As an Inventory Planning & Category Manager at Suvasa Apparel and Furnishing, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the inventory strategy, stock optimization, and category performance across our retail stores. Your responsibilities will include monitoring stock levels, maintaining optimal stock cover, coordinating allocation and replenishment, analyzing category-wise and store-wise performance, managing product lifecycle, reviewing costings, leading demand forecasting, and generating inventory reports for improvement opportunities. Your key responsibilities will involve ensuring stock availability, improving inventory turns, supporting store performance, and driving gross profit through data-driven decision-making and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will be required to maintain efficient inventory levels, track and manage stock at warehouses and store locations, drive category performance through strategic discounting, and collaborate with marketing, procurement, and supply chain teams for successful product launches. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in inventory management, merchandising, category management, or supply chain planning in a retail or FMCG environment. A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Retail Management, or a related field is required, and an MBA is considered a plus. Strong analytical and forecasting abilities, proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems, excellent coordination and communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.
