The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and optimization. The role involves developing and implementing inventory control procedures, analyzing demand patterns, monitoring stock levels, and collaborating with various departments to minimize costs and maximize profitability. The Inventory Control Manager plays a vital role in maintaining a seamless supply chain process and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order fulfillment. Key Responsibilities : Inventory Planning and Analysis : Analyze demand patterns, historical sales data, and market trends to forecast future inventory needs. Develop and maintain inventory planning strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs. Conduct regular inventory analysis to identify slow - moving items, excess stock, and obsolete inventory. Order Management : Manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate quantities, delivery dates, and pricing. Collaborate with vendors to negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. Monitor order fulfillment process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. Inventory Control Procedures : Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain accuracy in stock levels. Oversee cycle counting, regular physical inventories, and reconciliation processes. Implement best practices for inventory management, including proper storage, labeling, and handling of products. Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with sales, production, and distribution teams to align inventory levels with customer demand. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding inventory status, shortages, and delivery schedules. Collaborate with cross - functional teams to resolve inventory - related issues and optimize processes. Cost Management : Monitor and analyze inventory costs, including carrying costs, stockouts, and overstock situations. Identify cost - saving opportunities and implement strategies to minimize inventory - related expenses. Work on developing efficient logistics solutions to reduce transportation and warehousing costs. Reporting and Analysis : Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations based on inventory analysis to support strategic decision - making. Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
