Job Description

Inventory Management Consultant (1 Year Contract)

Reference Product Management

Plan and execute procurement of reference products and RLDs from approved sources.
Maintain a comprehensive database including batch details, expiry, usage history, and regulatory status.
Ensure compliant storage, handling, and documentation in line with global regulatory requirements (USFDA, EMA, CDSCO, etc.).
Monitor consumption trends and forecast requirements to prevent stockouts or wastage.
Support cross-functional teams (formulation, analytical, regulatory) with timely product availability and data sharing.

Chemical Inventory Management

Implement and monitor inventory control systems to track quantities, shelf life, and utilization.
Identify expired/obsolete chemicals, coordinate safe disposal with EHS, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Maintain cost-effective inventory levels while ensuring uninterrupted R&D operations.
Drive implementation of digital inventory systems/barcoding for accuracy and traceability.
Conduct periodic audits and generate reports on chemical usage, stock status, and cost trends.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure adherence to SOPs, cGMP, and global regulatory standards for both reference products and chemicals.
Prepare and maintain accurate records for audits and inspections.
Provide recommendations for SOP updates and process improvements.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Liaise with procurement, warehouse, formulation, analytical, regulatory, and EHS teams.
Communicate proactively on inventory status, risks, and requirements to stakeholders.
Train/support users on compliance requirements related to reference product and chemical management.
