Inventory Controller

We are MSP Retail Pvt Ltd, Franchisee of Max Fashions India, seeking an experienced and motivated Inventory Controller to join our Ernakulam region team. As an Inventory Controller, you will have a pivotal role in overseeing inventory control within the store and ensuring operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of associates, maintaining inventory levels, and strategizing to uphold Inventory SOP standards. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels across all departments, conducting regular cycle counts and full physical inventories, as well as investigating and resolving stock discrepancies and shrinkage issues. Collaboration with suppliers and store staff to track shipments and deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory data in the POS/inventory management system, and generating reports on inventory status, variances, and forecasting will also be part of your role. Additionally, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and organization of stock, collaborating with purchasing and sales teams to optimize stock levels, and enforcing loss prevention and inventory control procedures are crucial aspects of this position. The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, though an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred. A minimum of 1 year of experience in retail inventory, stockroom, or warehouse operations is required. Familiarity with inventory software and retail POS systems, strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Basic Excel or spreadsheet knowledge is a plus. Previous experience in retail management, particularly in the apparel or retail industry, will be advantageous. This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance. The work schedule may include day shifts and rotational shifts, with performance bonuses and yearly bonuses offered. The work location is in person.
