Job Description

Job Overview:

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services for the company. They will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure materials, equipment, and services based on company requirements.
  • Manage the purchase order process, including preparing purchase orders, following up with suppliers, and ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost-effective purchasing.
  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers for business requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand material needs and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess stock.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing.
  • Review and verify supplier invoices, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and budgetary constraints.
  • Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities and cost savings.
  • Resolve any issues related to delayed or incorrect orders and maintain strong communication with vendors.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing (preferably in [industry]).
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
