Job Description

Interpret verbal communication during meetings, factory visits, technical discussions, and supplier negotiations.
Translate technical documents, specifications, CAD drawings, quality reports, and emails between Chinese and English.
Assist engineering and procurement teams in communicating with Chinese vendors and manufacturers.
Ensure accurate interpretation of industry-specific terminology related to tooling, CNC machining, mold making, and precision engineering.
Support cross-functional teams during audits, inspections, and product development discussions.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications.
Provide cultural context and clarification when needed to avoid miscommunication.

Qualifications:

Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written).
Prior experience in manufacturing or engineering environments, preferably in tooling or precision components.
Strong understanding of technical vocabulary in both languages.
Certification in interpretation or translation (preferred).
Excellent listening, memory, and note-taking skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with CAD software, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
Knowledge of tooling processes such as injection molding, and CNC machining.
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Working Conditions:

May require travel to manufacturing sites or supplier locations.
