Job Description

As an International Travel Consultant Operations at Adventures Overland, you will play a crucial role in managing end-to-end travel arrangements for domestic and international destinations. Your responsibilities will include handling various aspects of travel arrangements, communicating with suppliers, maintaining records, and ensuring seamless travel experiences for clients. You will be instrumental in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by resolving issues, providing expert travel advice, and coordinating with different departments within the company. **Key Responsibilities:** - Handle all aspects of travel arrangements such as flights, accommodations, transportation, visas, and insurance. - Process travel bookings accurately in line with client preferences, company policies, and budget constraints. - Communicate with travel suppliers to confirm services, negotiate rates, and manage changes or cancellations. - Maintain up-to-date records in internal CRM platforms and assist in itinerary planning. - Resolve customer issues, rebook travel as necessary, and provide after-sales support. - Monitor travel trends, restrictions, and advisories to keep clients informed. - Support operational process improvements and assist with travel policy development. - Coordinate with finance and sales departments on billing and reconciliation. - Act as an on-ground travel lead for group tours, managing logistics for smooth operations. - Negotiate and secure the best deals from suppliers/vendors. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 5 years of proven work experience as a Travel Consultant in operations or product development. - Effective communication and negotiation skills. - Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends. - Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ticketing software like Amadeus. - Bachelor's or master's degree in hospitality, travel, tourism, business, or a relevant field. - Good understanding of visas and fluency in English. - Hands-on experience leading travel groups will be advantageous. - Driving experience will be considered a plus.
