Overview

This role reports into Head Office in Sydney and is responsible for day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and process improvement. The Finance Manager will oversee the integrity of financial data, compliance, and team development while supporting strategic business outcomes

Key Responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement of finance systems and collaboration with external accountants
• Preparation, review and filing of statuary monthly and quarterly returns, including GST, IAS and Payroll Tax returns
• Ensure financial compliance with all regulatory and statutory obligations(check with the candidate)
• Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and internal controls
• Lead core accounting functions including AP, AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Mentor and support junior finance staff to foster a collaborative, high-performing team
• Oversee daily cash flow, treasury functions, and financial forecasting
• Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with awards, tax, and internal policies
• Prepare accurate monthly management reports and board packs with financial insights

About You

• CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years of experience of accounting standards and financial regulations
• Experience in Australia accounting and tax is a must
• Expertise in bookkeeping, preparing financial statements and annual tax returns
• Preparation, reviewing and filing statuary monthly and quarterly returns
• Has worked directly with stakeholders(Check with the candidate if he directly reports into whom)
• Effective communicator with ability to collaborate across departments
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or Senior Accountant role
• Proactive, hands-on approach and commitment to continuous improvement
• Proficient in Excel and accounting systems such as NetSuite, TechOne, Xero, or MYOB
• Strong financial reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
