Internal Auditor- Account and Finance

As an Internal Auditor in Gurgaon, India, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Audit & Verification: - Audit employee reimbursement claims to ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. - Conduct regular audits of bank reconciliations and address any discrepancies. - Perform periodic checks of financial transactions to detect errors, fraud, or policy violations. - Compliance & Risk Management: - Ensure adherence to accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory frameworks. - Monitor internal policies and procedures, suggesting improvements as needed. - Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions to manage risks effectively. - Internal Controls: - Assess the efficiency of internal controls within financial operations. - Propose and implement stronger controls to protect company assets. - Develop audit checklists, SOPs, and reporting formats to enhance the control environment. - Reporting & Coordination: - Compile internal audit reports containing findings, observations, and recommendations for management. - Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations. - Assist in external audits by providing required data and clarifications. In addition to the role responsibilities, the ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies: - Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal audit methodologies. - Knowledge of compliance, taxation laws, and risk management practices. - Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. - Effective communication and reporting skills. Qualifications: - Chartered Accountant with at least 5 years of experience in internal audits and controls. - Proficiency in advanced Excel.
