About the Role

This is a 6-month, full-time, onsite and paid internship. As a Mechanical Design Intern, you’ll work closely with our mechanical and systems engineering teams to support the design and development of UAV subsystems. You’ll assist in creating CAD models, building prototypes, and testing hardware used on real platforms. This role is designed to give you strong hands-on exposure to how UAV hardware is designed, built, tested, and improved in a production-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical subsystems and structures

• Create and update 3D CAD models, assemblies, and basic engineering drawings

• Support structural analysis, weight optimization, and design iterations

• Participate in prototyping, assembly, and subsystem testing

• Work with avionics, propulsion, and systems teams during integration

• Maintain clear design documentation, including CAD data, BOMs, and test notes

• Participate in design discussions and learn from feedback during reviews

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or having completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related field

• Academic projects, internships, or competitions related to mechanical design are a plus

• A Rockstar with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, or similar)

• Basic understanding of mechanics, materials, and structural design

• Exposure to prototyping or fabrication (3D printing, machining, composites, etc.) is helpful

• Strong willingness to learn, be hands-on, and work in a team environment
