As a Tax Analyst at EY, you will have the opportunity to validate client data, study cash flow, portfolio, and financial data provided by clients, and prepare draft income statements and balance sheets. Your responsibilities will include working on economic allocations, tax returns, security analysis, tax adjustments, and tax return preparation for Hedge funds and Mutual Fund clients. Additionally, you will be preparing financial statements for CDO clients. Your key responsibilities will involve: - Validating source data such as statutory accounts and other financial data for non-English speaking countries - Preparing financial statements and tax computations - Completing self-assurance and quality checks - Demonstrating an understanding of basic tax concepts and staying updated on current tax developments - Validating low to medium levels of clients" financial activity annually - Ensuring accuracy of information provided and drafting further information requests to the onshore team - Preparing annual reports with notes and corporate tax returns - Conducting self-assurance quality checks on source data, calculations, presentation, and accuracy of work performed Skills and attributes for success: - Possessing a high degree of statistical and analytical capabilities - Demonstrating good communication skills - Showing a high degree of accounting and analytical skills - Having good computer knowledge, especially in MS Excel and basic knowledge of other MS Office applications - Being a team player To qualify for this role, you must be a graduate/post-graduate (BCom/BBM/MCom/MBA in Finance) with relevant years of experience. You should also have good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with GTH team and onshore team, along with basic knowledge in MS Office. Ideally, you should also have awareness of other taxes in the US and the ability to read, interpret, and apply tax legislation.,
