Interior/Fashion Designer

We are Ayawi Designs, a furniture and home décor company dedicated to creating beautiful, functional, and personalized spaces. We are seeking a creative and strategic Interior/Fashion Designer & Intern to join our team.

Role Overview:
The ideal candidate specializing in soft furnishings, you will be responsible for managing projects end-to-end — from understanding client needs and developing design concepts, to coordinating with vendors and ensuring on-time delivery. Your role will combine creative design work with hands-on project and client management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage soft furnishing projects from concept to completion.
• Consult with clients to understand their requirements, budgets, and style preferences.
• Develop mood boards, fabric swatches, and design proposals for approval.
• Source, select, and finalize fabrics, trims, and accessories in line with brand and client vision.
• Coordinate with vendors, tailors and suppliers to ensure quality and timelines are met.
• Oversee production and installation of soft furnishings (curtains, cushions, bed linen, etc.).
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate best prices without compromising quality.
• Conduct site visits for measurements, installation checks, and final styling.
• Stay updated with trends in interiors, fabrics, colours, and fashion to bring fresh ideas.
• Work closely with the marketing team to style and photograph completed projects for portfolios.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
• 0–1 years of experience in interiors, home décor, or fashion/textiles (soft furnishings experience preferred).
• Strong design sense with an eye for detail in color, texture, and finishing.
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to multitask and manage timelines under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
