You will be working as a Java Developer for the Insurance Platform at EY. Your role involves the following key responsibilities: - Possess a BE / B.Tech / MCA / ME / M.Tech degree along with at least 2 years of Java Development experience - Hands-on experience in JEE 8/9 and strong knowledge in Core Java - Proficiency in webservices, Rest API, collections, and batches - Strong understanding of data structure, design patterns, and algorithms - Good experience in databases SQL/PL SQL - Familiarity with backend testing using Junit/Mockito - Experience in Agile environment with a good understanding of Agile processes - Ability to maintain code health by following best practices guidelines and coding standards - Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback aligning with industry-wide best practices - Work effectively in engagements spread across multiple time zones and geographies - Collaborate in small pods/teams to achieve positive group outcomes - Proficient in using code versioning tools like SVN/Git - Establish and maintain communication channels with Team Leads and client teams to relay status, issues, risks, and concerns - Direct client experience, including working with client teams in an on-site and/or offshore mode In terms of qualifications, you are required to have a Bachelor's or college degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Your skills and expertise should include a strong command of verbal and written English language, crisp business communication skills, experience in core Java/JEE, Spring, Hibernate, XML, HTML, JSP, and JavaScript. Knowledge of the Insurance domain is preferred along with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
