As a Java Developer for the Insurance Platform, you will be responsible for the following key requirements: - Possess a degree in BE / B.Tech / MCA / ME / M.Tech with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Java Development. - Hands-on expertise in JEE 8/9 and a strong understanding of Core Java. - Proficiency in developing webservices, Rest API, collections, and batches. - Extensive knowledge of data structures, design patterns, and algorithms. - Experience in working with databases using SQL/PL SQL. - Familiarity with backend testing tools such as Junit/Mockito. - Ability to work in an Agile environment and follow Agile processes effectively. - Implement best practices guidelines and coding standards to ensure codebase health and minimize technical debt. - Conduct code reviews, offer constructive feedback aligned with industry best practices, and maintain coding standards. - Collaborate with teams across multiple time zones and geographies in small pods to achieve common goals. - Utilize code versioning tools like SVN/Git. - Establish clear communication channels with Team Leads and client teams for effective information sharing. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Skills Expertise: - Proficient in verbal and written English with excellent business communication skills. - Experience in core Java/JEE, Spring, Hibernate, XML, HTML, JSP, and JavaScript. - Knowledge of the Insurance domain is a plus. - Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
