Insurance Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze insurance applications, supporting documents, and risk profiles to determine coverage eligibility.
• Assess potential risks and recommend suitable policy terms, premium rates, and coverage limits.
• Coordinate with insurance companies to obtain quotes, renewals, endorsements, and coverage details.
• Prepare underwriting summaries, approvals, and documentation in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and update records of all insurance proposals, approvals, and renewals in system databases.
• Collaborate with claims and operations teams to ensure consistency between underwriting and policy administration.
• Assist in the renewal and endorsement process by reviewing existing policies and ensuring continued adequate coverage.
• Prepare periodic reports on underwriting activities, accepted/rejected proposals, and portfolio performance.
• Stay informed about insurance regulations, industry trends, and new product offerings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, IRDAI regulations, and underwriting guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in insurance underwriting, risk assessment, or related functions.
• Good understanding of insurance products (life, health, or general) and underwriting principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
