Role Overview We are seeking a driven and analytical Product Manager Life Insurance to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of our life insurance product offerings. This role demands a strategic thinker who can work cross-functionally to build innovative life insurance solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers, distributors, and partners. You will be instrumental in shaping product strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving adoption and profitability in a competitive market. Key Responsibilities Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for life insurance products—term, whole life, ULIPs, and other protection or savings-oriented offerings. Conduct market research, customer insights, and competitor analysis to identify product gaps and opportunities. Work closely with underwriting, actuarial, legal, operations, tech, design, and sales teams to build differentiated, compliant life insurance products. Draft detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) , define features, and manage product development with engineering teams. Collaborate with insurers, reinsurers, TPAs, and brokers on product structuring, pricing, underwriting criteria, and regulatory filings. Monitor and analyze product performance using data and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement in adoption, persistency, and profitability. Ensure strict adherence to IRDAI guidelines , including product approvals, disclosures, and ongoing compliance. Lead go-to-market planning , including training, marketing collateral, and distribution enablement across digital and physical channels. Champion the voice of the customer , ensuring that product design and messaging align with real-life needs and behavior. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Actuarial Science, or related field; MBA or Insurance certifications preferred . 4–8 years of experience, with 2–4 years in life insurance product management or related functions (e.g., actuarial, underwriting, distribution). Strong knowledge of the life insurance landscape in India , including regulatory norms, product approval processes, and digital trends. Experience managing cross-functional teams in high-growth or tech-enabled environments. Ability to structure and solve complex problems using data and user insights .
