Instrumentation Engineer

As an Instrument Engineer in the Agrochemical/Chemical industry, you will be responsible for preparing datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, and conducting technical bid evaluations. You will review vendor documents and be involved in the sizing and selection of various field instruments such as Pressure Transmitters (PT), Flow Meters, Control Valves (CV), Pressure Reducing Stations (PRS), and Safety Valves (SV). Your role will also include the preparation of engineering deliverables as part of the project, which involves creating Instrument Index, IO lists, Nest loading, JB Schedules, JB Drawings, Process Hookups, Pneumatic Hookups, Loop Diagrams, Cable schedules, MTO, Instrument Location Layouts, Instrument Cable Schedules, Cable and Tray Routing, Cable laying, Cable Termination, IS calculations, and Drive interface drawings. You will be required to develop logic based on Cause and Effect diagrams and Single Line Diagrams (SLD) as per the Load List & overall SLD. Mandatory skills for this role include knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as ISA, IEC, and API. In terms of software skills, proficiency in Basic AutoCAD 2D and Microsoft Word & Excel is required. Advanced skills in Smart Plant Instrumentation Tools SPI [INTOOLS] or AVEVA are also necessary.
