Job Description

Education

  • Diploma / Associate Degree in Instrumentation Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in instrumentation design.
  • Experience in Offshore Engineering Projects.
  • Familiarity with offshore oil & gas platforms, FPSOs, or offshore wind structures.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, S3D, or MicroStation.
  • Understanding of instrumentation control systems, field devices, and hazardous area equipment.
  • Knowledge of loop diagrams, hook-ups, and P&IDs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update instrumentation drawings, including:
    • Instrument layouts
    • Hook-up drawings
    • Loop diagrams
    • Cable routing and tray layouts
    • Junction box layouts
    • Wiring and termination details
  • Support the development of:
    • Instrument index, I/O list, and data sheets
    • Material take-offs (MTOs) and Bill of Materials (BoMs)
    • Cable schedules and interconnection diagrams
  • Assist in 3D model reviews, clash checks, and design coordination with other disciplines (electrical, process, mechanical).
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant international standards (IEC, ISA, API, ATEX, NORSOK, etc.) and project specifications.
  • Interface with vendors for instrument package layouts and documentation.
  • Maintain and revise as-built drawings based on redlines and site modifications.
  • Ensure document control and version management using document management systems.
  • Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and design review meetings as required.
