Job Description

Role & responsibilities We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Instrumentation Engineer with 7 to 10 years of expertise in Material Requisition (MR), Field Instrument Specifications, Datasheet Preparation, Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE), and Vendor Document Review (VDR). Candidates with additional experience in Control Valve MR, TBE, and VDR will be given preference. Key Responsibilities: Prepare Material Requisitions (MRs) for a wide range of field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters, switches, and analyzers. Develop and review instrument datasheets and technical specifications in accordance with project, client, and international standards. Perform Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) for field instruments and control valves (globe, butterfly, ball, segmental, etc.). Evaluate vendor offers for technical compliance with specifications, project documentation, and applicable standards. Review and comment on Vendor Documents (VDR) for field instruments and control valves, ensuring timely turnaround and quality compliance. Coordinate with vendors and procurement to resolve technical queries during the pre- and post-order stages. Interface with Process Engineers for control valve sizing and selection. Ensure correct selection of control valves considering process data, noise levels, cavitation, rangeability, body/trim materials, and actuator sizing. Support FAT, SAT, and vendor meetings as necessary. Adhere to international codes and standards (ISA, API 6A/6D, IEC, ASME, etc.) and ensure compliance with SIL and hazardous area classifications. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of departmental processes and standardization. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Control Engineering or related field. 7–10 years of relevant experience in instrumentation engineering within EPC/EPCM projects. Strong expertise in field instrument and control valve selection, sizing, and procurement processes. Solid knowledge of international standards (ISA, IEC, API, ASME, ANSI). Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, instrument data sheets, and loop diagrams. Experienced in handling complete instrumentation procurement cycles — MR, TBE, VDR. Excellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and vendors. Preferred candidate profile
