2 (minimum) years relevant experience with Diploma in Instrumentation
Preference - RIL site/ or relevant refinery meeting above criteria. 5 (minimum) years relevant experience with ITI in InstrumentationPreference - RIL site/ or relevant refinery meeting above criteria.

00 Know about emergency actions & facilities (location of F&G alarm, assembly point, emergencytelephone number, escape route etc.) and plant emergency procedures and should be able tocommunicate to his group. Basic knowledge of working principles of common measuring instruments used in continuous processindustry. – transmitter; switches; gauges etc Knowledge on performing checks on common measuring instrument problems in field – checkingfaulty Temperature sensor; transmitter output checks; checks on faulty switches; gauges; relays etc Basic knowledge of control valves and ON-OFF valves – type of valves and actuators – accessories –I/P; positioner; booster; AFR etc. Stroke check of valve. Knowledge about Instrument Calibration. – zero error; span error; linearity; dead band; hysteresis;rising / falling parameter; NO-NC in switches Knowledge of Test & Calibration Instruments usage – understanding of validity and traceability of TCIs Understanding of Preventive Maintenance- concept; task list; best practices; records Understanding of process and/or electrical isolation requirement during PM / CM / instrumentreplacement. Understanding of safety requirements for impulse line flushing /de-chocking. Understanding of types and ratings for gaskets & flanges; bolting material; short-bolting; threadsealants used. Knowledge of practices followed for protection of instruments against rain and weather. Basic understanding of Hazardous Area concepts – IS & NON-IS circuits and related precaustions. Basic understanding of Tubes; Fittings; cable glands; instrument cables – types of tube; fittings; cablesand cable glands – specifications.
